Designed for a high power and rather hostile environment (like a street light) these photo cells have values from 1.36 Mohms to 40 Mohms in the dark and from 50 Ohms to about 1000 Ohms in outdoor daylight. Antique Tuners
Or at least pretty old. The circa '70s car-radio tuner from Philco-Ford has a 6-position rotary switch with spring-loaded gears. Scrounge lots of capacitors, resistors, chokes, diodes, etc., from this tuner, or display one next to your favorite buggy whip.

Includes 75 feet of 17AWG stranded, un-insulated copper wire (~.040"), 50 feet of insulated 24AWG lead wire, (2) plastic egg insulators, (2) insulated bushings for a window feed-through, a 10" ground lead with ring terminals at each end, and (2) galvanized nail posts.
