Here's a little music box to crank. These are really cute, with a very nice sound, and they're in clear acrylic cases so you, or impressionable youngsters, can watch them work. They measure 2-1/4"x 2" x 1-1/4" with a 7/8" crank. We'll pick one that plays When You Wish upon a Star, Row, Row, Row your Boat, Brahms' Lullaby, or Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star. We won't pick the one that plays the score from Die Walküre because the wheel is just enormous.

Nothing says boogie wagon like a blue light that plugs into the cigarette lighter and pulses to the beat of your music. This 6-3/4" long tube is a cold cathode fluorescent (looks like neon but is much tougher and draws less juice) with a 42" lead to an audio sensor and control box and a 58" lead to the tube itself. Leonardo Rides Again

Now you can re-create two of Leonardo Da Vinci's most prescient vehicles. You get everything you need to build small scale models of either his self-propelled cart or paddlewheel boat. The cart was driven by bent-wood spring tension and featured a gearing system and programmable steering. His was wood; yours is wood-like plastic, approx 6" square x 3-1/4" tall with all the right moving parts. The paddleboat was pedaled (making it a pedal-paddle boat) and your model will be approx 7-1/2" long x 2-3/4" wide x 1-1/2" tall. Both kits include a 16-page booklet with good instructions plus an overview of the maestro's life. For ages 8 and up.
