These 12 oz. plastic bottles look like they might have been made for aftershave or hair oil. They might also line up very neatly in a rack in the lab or workshop. They're 4-1/2" across, 1-3/4" deep, and 5" tall (counting the screw-on cap). The mouth is 15/16" ID and they are a beautiful dark blue.

Slightly larger than some of our hobby motors, this Mabuchi RS-365SH double-shaft motor is a good choice for science-fair projects. Its range is 6 VDC, 50 mA, 550 rpm to 24 VDC, 80 mA, 2,000 rpm. The 3/32" dia shaft extends 5/8" from the terminal end of the 1-1/2" x 1-1/16" dia motor, and 3/8" from the other end. It has (2) 5" leads.

For more "interesting" science fairs. "Secret Science," by TV science guru Steve Spengler, is a 96pp paperback with (25) science experiments that "your teacher doesn't know about." Unless, of course, he or she has this book. Fun anyway, we think. Lots of things to blow up, overflow, fly around and make a general nuisance of yourself with. Most all use ordinary household materials, and there are some very clever experiments, like extracting iron from breakfast cereal. For ages 9-12.
