Luminous Paint
This water–reducible acrylic–based paint sticks to most surfaces and glows in the dark after only a brief exposure to bright ambient light. We have a 2 oz bottle of yellow/green that will glow for up to 20 hours. This works great for Halloween costumes and hobby applications, and glows like crazy under blacklight. And without a single radionuclide! Amazing!

Litmus Paper
Chemically treated paper strips to test for acid or base (alkaline) solutions. Use the blue for acids, the red for bases. The more sophisticated pH test paper strip indicates pH from 1 (bright red) to 14 (dark brown). Values in between can be read by comparing with a color chart that comes with the strips. All have (100) strips of test paper per vial.

Burner Stands
Three-legged steel stands for cooking above burners in the lab. The unit stands 6" tall with a 2–1/4" ID (3–1/4" OD) burner ring. Legs are 1/4" wide chromed steel and angle outward slightly. Burner rings have a grey baked enamel finish. Legs screw into burner rings and have adjusting nuts. Sturdy construction.

Chinex?
Rejoice, we have finally found a source of reasonably priced borosilicate lab glassware. This is the kind of glass in the trade marked Pyrex(tm) and Kimax(tm) labware. The stuff you can put right over the flame of the Bunsen burner, or directly onto the hot plate. This stuff is imported from China, and is considered student grade, which is good enough for anything but the most exotic applications. We have beakers, test tubes, graduated cylinders and flasks. Compare the prices below and you will see that they are around half the U.S. equivalent. Call us for larger quantity prices.

Metric Triple Beam Balance
Easy to use, and with 0.1 gram sensitivity the O'haus triple beam balance is perfect for measuring chemicals, biological specimens or the rutabaga for tonight's supper. Parallax free, the balance is damped by a pair of alnico magnets in the end post for friction free use. The three notched and tiered beams (100-500 grams, 10-100 grams, 0-10 grams) have center reading sliding poises. 610 gram capacity (standard) can be increased to 2610 grams by the use of attachment weights, available as an accessory. Mystery Boxes of stuff like what you see in the catalog. Maybe we had a little left but not enough to continue the listing. Maybe we only got a few as part of an odd lot. Maybe we just lost some, and just found them in our warehouse. You will get items which originally listed for at least $25.00 total in our catalog (or would have, if we had enough). You pick. The "electro-mechanical" box has things like motors, switches and components that are useful parts but want to be worked into something bigger. The "consumer" box has more ready-to-go type items, and things that don't have as technical a flavor, like bottles, toys, books and giant rubber bands. The fun is in the mystery and surprise. Perfect if you don't know what to give Aunt Maude and Uncle Ned, or if you can't decide how to bring your order up to the minimum. Every couple of months the contents will keep changing, so even if you have gotten a box before, feel free to order again! (Please note: Ordering multiple boxes at the same time will result in duplicate items.)

Plastic Graduates
The Graduate devotee knows the importance of plastic. To fill the need we offer these fine cylinders of the hard milky white polypropylene persuasion, to help you measure out your chemicals. With a large bases for stability and spouts for pouring, they are just like their glass cousins, except these are cheaper and not heat-resistant (each is marked 20° C ?!). Mashers and Smashers
Porcelain mortars and pestles. Great heavy duty mortars, with sides that are easily 5/16" thick on the smaller ones, and up to 1/2" on the larger. The mortars are glazed outside, but rough inside, the better to grind, and have a pouring lip. The business ends of the pestles are unglazed, while the shafts are glazed. Very functional, very good looking!! So grind your own spices or lab concoctions as you prefer. You get a mortar and pestle as a single order.
