Long-Life Lamp
This multi-position LED lamp stands 10" tall and functions as a desk lamp, hand-held flashlight, or hanging light, and runs for 20-plus hours on a single set of (3) alkaline D-cell batteries. (Will also take a 4.5VDC female center plug adapter if you've got one.) Has (20) LEDs in a 4" x 2-3/4" oval reflective face that ratchets up and down. Through our little black-plastic right-angle viewer. It's a 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" hexagon, and Paul says that if you buy (2) you can see eye-to-eye with yourself, which is a little spooky. Great for a little light spying on the street, and if you find a way to stick it over the lens of a small digital camera, you'll get great candid shots.

Cut Right To It
This all-purpose scissors is the favorite of everyone at A.S.&S.: Pat uses his to cut and strip wire. C.J. uses his to slit the tape on packages. Mary Ann uses hers to open bags of pretzels. It's 6-1/4" long overall, with a very sharp 2" stainless steel blade and large, comfortable handles. It would sell for $9.95 retail if it was new, but it was used for one day to cut cloth in the assembly plant of a major car company, then discarded. Quality control is a wonderful thing.
