Newspaper Sudoku not tough enough for you? You show-off. Try solving the Sudokube®, the evil spawn of a rogue Rubik's Cube® and a wayward Sudoku maiden. You twist away at the 2" x 2" black-and-white plastic cube, until each of the (6) sides displays digits 1 through 9. Extra credit if they're all in the right order with the numbers facing the same way. Only took us 12 minutes, but we used a hacksaw and some epoxy. Packaging says it's "For Ages Over 5." Right.

Very Proficiently Flying

Our PC-9 rubber-band powered styro airplane boasts a big, long rubber power plant, plastic prop, and landing gear. Measures 15" nose to tail with an 18" wingspan. Takes some light assembly but, the directions say, "when you play this plane very proficiently, you will find that it can be made more wonderful flying ways." Indeed. Rated for 200 feet of flight (80% longer than the Wright brother's first flight!), but we'd avoid really windy days for the best proficiently flying.

Killer Magnet
Once upon a time, a copywriter put this little magnet next to his computer monitor and got really pretty, wavy, aurora-like effects. And then got a new monitor! Don't try this at home. Our shiny, silver-colored 1" x 1" x 1/2" neodymium magnet looks innocent, but is industrial strength, pulling something like 25 lbs with enough strength left over to erase all your credit cards. He's 3-1/2" long, in authentic beige and white with little pink ears and nose. Packs an enormous amount of cute into a small furry package. You add (1) "AAA" battery.
