Pencil Torch
Refillable butane torch, with a 1/2" dia x 5-3/4" body and a 1/4" dia. x 2-1/4" long head. Strong enough to melt solder, silver and gold solder, glass tubing and such metals as gold, silver, copper, tin, and aluminum. Equally handy around the hobby shop, jewelry bench, or lab. Burner Stands
Three-legged steel stands for cooking above burners in the lab. The unit stands 6" tall with a 2–1/4" ID (3–1/4" OD) burner ring. Legs are 1/4" wide chromed steel and angle outward slightly. Burner rings have a grey baked enamel finish. Legs screw into burner rings and have adjusting nuts. Sturdy construction.

Metric Triple Beam Balance
Easy to use, and with 0.1 gram sensitivity the O'haus triple beam balance is perfect for measuring chemicals, biological specimens or the rutabaga for tonight's supper. Parallax free, the balance is damped by a pair of alnico magnets in the end post for friction free use. The three notched and tiered beams (100-500 grams, 10-100 grams, 0-10 grams) have center reading sliding poises. 610 gram capacity (standard) can be increased to 2610 grams by the use of attachment weights, available as an accessory. (Accessory weight kit includes (1)-500 gram and (2)-1000 gram weights.) Base is contoured to store weights and the balance is equipped to accept specific gravity Rod and Clamp. A Snarl of Magnet Wire
One of those sharpie East Coast outfits pulled a fast one on this poor naive Midwestern dealer. The result is we have a pile of exotic coated copper magnet wire. The coatings and colors vary widely, as does the gauge of the wire. With a couple of exceptions there isn't enough of any one kind among the hundreds in the pile to list separately. So we are offering an assortment and you get whatever we grab. Either way you will get a terrific value, particularly if you have an exotic application and get just what you need. Even if you are just making a garden variety coil or electromagnet you will still find the prices are very good. So go ahead, profit from our misfortune. We are glad to be of service. Sigh.

Submersible Pumps
Here are the ins and outs of submersible pumps for your DIY fountain.These small electric pumps run on 24 VAC (For low energy consumption.) from the included wall outlet adapter, are rated for continuous duty, have (3) suction-cup feet, an adjustable flow control and both a straight and 90° 5/16" tubing adapter. This little pump is roughly 2-5/8" x 1.5" x 2-1/4", has a 6-ft power cord with an in-line switch, and pumps 70 gal/hr @ 1 ft lift. Plug it in and go with the flow. Indoor use only.

Mystery Boxes of stuff like what you see in the catalog. Maybe we had a little left but not enough to continue the listing. Maybe we only got a few as part of an odd lot. Maybe we just lost some, and just found them in our warehouse. You will get items which originally listed for at least $25.00 total in our catalog (or would have, if we had enough). You pick. The "electro-mechanical" box has things like motors, switches, hardware and components that are useful parts but want to be worked into something bigger. The "consumer" box has more ready-to-go type items, and things that don't have as technical a flavor, like bottles, toys, books and giant rubber bands. The fun is in the mystery and surprise. Perfect if you don't know what to give Aunt Maude and Uncle Ned, or if you can't decide how to bring your order up to the minimum. Every couple of months the contents will keep changing, so even if you have gotten a box before, feel free to order again! (Please note: Ordering multiple boxes at the same time will result in duplicate items.)

Real Corks!!
We have obtained a large number of real natural corks, mostly surplus with a few fill-ins bought commercially. They range across the popular sizes used in science labs to seal vessels (drill your own holes for glass tubing, etc) and to use as floats. Or just use them to seal bottles that don't have closures or cry out for a decorative seal.

Glorious Steam Stationary Plants...

Build a real head of live steam in the boiler, ease the throttle open and watch the engine take off. The stationary steam plants have nickel plated brass horizontal boiler, water gauge, whistle, safety valve, throttle, 3" dia flywheel and power takeoff pulley. Our dry pellet fuel model (includes 20 fuel pellets) has a single action horizontal piston engine and comes as a kit. It requires about 2 hours to assemble and mount on its roughly 7" sq base, using simple tools like pliers and screwdriver. Assembly adds to the fun and cuts the price! All parts of each are precision metal, plated or enameled as appropriate. Select a small DC motor that will operate as a generator from our catalogs and see if you can become a 19th century electric utility!! Requires light assembly. Ages 10 and up. Add a box of (20) extra fuel pellets for even more hours of enjoyment!
