Pretty Sharp
Optimize the power of your microscope and get the sharpest possible image with a drop of clear, colorless immersion oil between the lens and your slide. This 0.5 oz tube of low-viscosity Resolve® Immersion Oil from Richard-Allan Scientific has a refractive index of 1.5150. It is non-drying and non-hardening, and will not damage lenses or valuable slides. But it will definitely enhance your view!

Treat With Heat
Start with one naked wire or a number of them, and a piece of our clever tubing, and end up with nice, tightly covered wire. For the specific diameters below, our each is a package of (10) 12" pieces of heat-shrink tubing. For an assortment of sizes, our each is a dozen pieces of 4" long tubing. You'll get (4) pieces each in 1/8", 1/4" and 1/2" diameters. All sizes are black. All will shrink to trim diameters half their current size when heated to 125°C/257°F. If only it worked on waistlines.

Socko X-Ray Sets
Way inside? Try our human X-rays. These are from Roylco® and are very useful for biology teachers, but with lots of other applications. Make a very easy oversized jigsaw puzzle or, with some super glue, a great shower curtain. But the real possibilities are for artists and designers: fold ’em into lampshades, blow them up or shrink them on a copier, or scan them and have fun in Photoshop™. You get the human skeletal system, a complete skeleton when assembled, in (18) sheets of various sizes, reprinted on transparencies which work with overhead projectors. Glass Funnel
This funnel looks delicate, but it's Pyrex® so heat won't hurt it. The tough little glass funnel has a 75mm (approx 3") ID mouth and an 80mm long neck with a 6mm ID fluted outlet. No markings.

Un-Bunsen Burner
So you don't have a gas jet in the garage? You don't think Margie and Ted are old enough to handle the high temperatures of a Bunsen burner? Our alcohol lamps are the answer. They burn alcohol (available at the hardware store), and are hot enough to boil water, to soften glass tubing for bending, and to generate the chemical reactions generally called for in science projects. Lamp A is shaped like a long-necked ink well, 3-1/2" tall x 3" dia at its widest point and comes with a wick assembly and a handy little glass lid/extinguisher. Lamp B is 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" glass bowl with a wick assembly that brings the whole to a height of 4-1/2".

Good Tweezers
This set of (6) tweezers is as useful as it looks daunting. The (6) stainless steel tweezers vary in size from 4-1/2" up to 7". Two of the tweezers have serated tips one is inverse, one has a slide latch and the others are straight flat tip. The set comes in a clear front plastic carrying case. Good for model cars, planes or hard to reach splinters.

Diamond Files
Here's a set of (5) tiny embedded-diamond files, just in case you have some tiny embedded diamonds that need filing. They are 3-1/8" long OA, with rubber handles. The file portions are 1 mm to 2 mm wide, with assorted pointed-round, pointed-flat, and blunt-flat tips at 150 grit.

Flashlight Bulbs
Our each is a pack of (2) 4.8 volt 300mA miniature screw-base krypton flashlight bulbs…for to put in the glove box with the spare batteries because how mad are you going to be when you have extra batteries ready but the bulb burns out while you're changing that tire in the dark at 3:30 a.m. ten miles outside of East Nowhere, Oklahoma. These work great on 3-battery applications!

Go, Suisse!
Let the rest of the world outfit its armies with rockets and tanks. We prefer Switzerland, with its Swiss Army Knife and, now, its Swiss Army Horseshoe Nails. Our each is a box of (100) shiny, flat, steel nails with square beveled heads, each head imprinted with a tiny cross. These #6 nails are 2-1/8" long. Even the box is a retro find. Such sticklers for details, these pacifistic Swiss.

Peculiar Injection Vials
We've never seen anything quite like these little clear glass vials, which means they must have myriad uses, particularly at this price. The large one is 1-3/4" tall x 15/16" dia with a shoulder and a 1/2" ID lipped mouth on the top, leading into a 1" deep conical cavity. The bottom has a 5/8" mouth, with an internal lip, and opens into a cavity around the little conical reservoir. So you can fill either end. Which would hold maybe a couple of ccs one way, or 1/4 oz the other way. The little one is the same, but is 1-9/16" tall x 5/8" dia and a 1/4" ID mouth on top, 7/16" on the bottom. We're thinking obscure lab experiments, or chimneys for streetlamps in model railroads. Or something.
