What are cookies?

How do I enable cookies?
Follow the directions listed below your browser. If you do not know your browser version, select Help -> About... from your tool bar.
Internet Explorer 6.0+
- Select "Internet Options" from the "Tools" menu.
- Click the "Privacy" tab.
- Click "Advanced".
- Make sure "Override Automatic Cookie Handling" is checked.
- Make sure "Accept under First Party Cookies" is checked.
- Make sure "Always Allow Session Cookies" is checked.
- Click "OK".
- Click "OK".
Mozilla Firefox 2.0+
- Select "Options..." from the Tools(Windows) or Preferences (Mac OS X) menu.
- Select "Privacy" from the top menu.
- Select the "Cookies" tab from the secondary menu.
- Make sure "Allow sites to set cookies" is checked.
- Click "OK".
Mozilla Firefox 1.0+
- Select "Options..." from the Tools(Windows) or Preferences (Mac OS X) menu.
- Select "Privacy" from the left side menu.
- Click the + symbol next to Cookies to expand the list (if not already expanded).
- Make sure "Allow sites to set cookies" is checked.
- Close the window.
Safari
- Select "Preferences" from the Safari menu.
- Click on the "Security" icon near the top of the window.
- Under Accept Cookies, make sure the "Always" option is selected.
- Close the Safari Preferences window.
I enabled cookies and I am still having problems. What can I do?
Follow the directions below your browser to verify that www.sciplus.com has not been added to your list of blocked sites.
Internet Explorer 6.0+
- Select "Internet Options" from the "Tools" menu.
- Click the "Privacy" tab.
- Click "Sites".
- Make sure "www.sciplus.com" is not in the list of "Managed Websites".
- If it is, select "www.sciplus.com" and click "Remove".
- Click "OK".
- Click "OK".
Mozilla Firefox 2.0+
- Select "Options..." from the Tools(Windows) or Preferences (Mac OS X) menu.
- Select "Privacy" from the top menu.
- Select the "Cookies" tab from the secondary menu.
- Click on the "Exceptions" button.
- Make sure "www.sciplus.com" is not in the list of websites.
- If it is, select "www.sciplus.com" and click "Remove Site".
- Click "Close".
- Click "OK".
