WHAT'S IN A TAG?

Whatever your little surplus-loving heart desires. Think of tags as a DIY catalog: you make up a tag, attach it to any number of items, and it stays there functioning like your own personal AS&S category. Works like a permanent keyword search, a way to organize the catalog to fit your very own shopping preferences.

USE TAGS TO:

  • Group items for later. Got a nephew who loves slime, puzzles, and dinosaurs? Tag them all with "BobbyGsBirthday" and they'll be there, waiting for more items to be tagged, every time you open the website.
  • Keep track of your purchases, or things you intend to purchase. You can keep a buying history or run a permanent, personal shopping basket. Call it your "maybe" cart.
  • Establish a little gift register for yourself. Why should brides have all the fun? Tag your faves, say, "BigBrunosWishList" and tell your loved ones they can always make you happy by going to our website and selecting from your personal electronic registry.
  • Browse other folks' categories. All tags are visible to everyone (it's sort of a Wiki-Catalog) so over time there'll be a whole new set of customer-based organizing principles for you to use.

CAVEAT TAGGER:

Anybody can create a tag, and everybody sees everything, so:
  • Be prepared to be creative if your tag is already used.
  • Behave yourself—no dirty words or threats, and nothing illegal, immoral, or abusive. The AS&S Tag-Police are on the job and will delete them.
  • Be careful to avoid last names, email addresses, or any other personal info.
