Ten Bucks To The Canary Islands

You sign onto the observatory's website, enter the number from your card, and you've got (50) minutes of real-time viewing through the telescope, displayed on your computer screen. And if you're in, say, Chicago, Mt. Tiede is 6 hours ahead of you so you can do daytime viewing of a nighttime sky! All you need is a Mac or PC with an Internet access speed of at least 56K. Lots of viewing options, including archived missions and event notification. You can even designate an object to view and schedule your time to view it.
