Why didn't someone think of this before? Imagine a giant, 6-foot x 3.5-foot, tarp-like reinforced plastic garbage bag (.024" thick) that doubles as a picnic tablecloth. Spread it on the table and tighten the cord to secure it to the tabletop. When you're done eating and making a mess, loosen the cord, pull the bottom up and over the top and all the garbage, pull the cord tight and dump it. Brilliant, that's what it is.
