The only thing that makes this metal detector a toy is the length of the wand (approx 29") which means that full-sized grown-ups may find themselves stooping a bit. That, plus it's lime green and orange, otherwise, it's the best-working toy detector we've ever seen, sensing keys a full 10" away. Has a power switch, adjustable sensitivity, and breaks down into (4) pieces for storage, with solid, metal screw-together extensions. The coil is 5" dia x 12" long, and can be removed for use as a hand wand, in case you're opening your own airport or training the kids for the TSA. Uses (1) 9V battery, not included. No earphone attachment.
