Spring Clamps
Devices used to hold spring in place, thus ensuring eternally promis-ing, but changeable and wet weather. No? How about this then: Steel grips, spring loaded to keep their tips tightly closed on whatever you chose to target. The handles and tips have been coated with a light plastic to improve grip and provide a bit of insulation. The clamp is about 4" long x 5/8" wide and opens about 1-1/4". They have strong grips and will crush fragile items, but do a good job of holding things while the glue dries, you do the soldering, or the materials bond.

Restraint
Rubber-headed spring clamp holds objects (up to 1/4" thick) in a firm grip but won't hurt them. A two-position thumb latch locks the 3" long U-shaped clamp closed on thicker or thinner stuff. Meant for clamping things together while glue sets, but you could also use this clamp to grab onto something loopless so you can hang it from a hook.

You could clamp water skis on a walrus with this baby. Our very very very strong 6" long x 1" wide steel spring clamp has red rubber insulated jaws and handles, and opens to a max of 2-1/4".

Get A Grip
With this mighty tight-gripping small ratchet clamp. It has pivoting 9/16" square jaws that open to a hair under 1-1/2" and are approx 2" deep with toothed curves. The black and orange plastic clamp has a metal ratchet with a spring-loaded release for one-hand use. Approx 5" long OA.

Hydraulic Clampers
Clamps with no springs attached. You pick the little clampini or the big clamponi, both molded-plastic hand clamps with a small hydraulic-like cylinder for smooth tension adjustments and a vice-grip-style quick release. The small one opens to a max of 2” with 1-1/8" x 7/8" jaw pads. The big one opens to a max of 3” with 1-7/16" x 1-1/8" jaw pads. Both have substantial serrations on the inner sides of the jaws.

Nose Clamps
Whoops. Make that needle-nose clamps, although you could clamp noses with them, we suppose. Painful, though, since these woodworkers' and crafters' friends are "super-grips" in spring-loaded plastic, 4-1/2" long x 3/16" wide. They open to a max of 3" with very small, padded tips.
