Our newest desk set has a certain War of the Worlds charm to it. The black-plastic 5-1/2" square-ish base holds a standard 3-1/2" square sticky-note pad. The aluminum rod curving from the base displays an LCD clock, and hides the small magnet. What does the magnet do? Holds an elliptical ball point pen suspended above the pad. The pen's refillable and the included button cell battery can be replaced.

Tootin' Our Laser
We don't like to brag, but it's tough not to in a case like this. This is a wonderful pen-shaped laser pointer, 5-1/4" long, flat black or silver with gold pocket clip and head. It throws a red point a loong way (we've thrown it two city blocks at night, and it would've gone farther, but buildings got in the way). And what are we so proud of? We've seen a very similar item-not identical, mind you, but essentially the same-in one of those glossy, toys-for-grown-men catalogs. Their price? $40! Rejoice, we have finally found a source of reasonably priced borosilicate lab glassware. This is the kind of glass in the trade marked Pyrex(tm) and Kimax(tm) labware. The stuff you can put right over the flame of the Bunsen burner, or directly onto the hot plate. This stuff is imported from China, and is considered student grade, which is good enough for anything but the most exotic applications. We have beakers, test tubes, graduated cylinders and flasks. Compare the prices below and you will see that they are around half the U.S. equivalent. Call us for larger quantity prices.

Lab Stand
Affordable, adaptable lab equipment for serious scientists with laughable budgets. The basic stand is heavy black metal 8" long x 5" wide x 1" high with a 19-1/2" x 3/8" dia support rod screwed into it. Position a beaker or bunsen burner on the stand and build the configuration you need above it. Both of the Burette clamps and the ring attach to the rod with thumbscrew clamps. The Burette clamps have wing nuts so they can be adjusted to any angle. The single clamp extends 4" from the rod, with rounded, uncoated, adjustable metal jaws with spring tension and a wing nut. The double clamp like it has rubber-coated jaws. The 3" metal support ring holds the 6" x 6" heavy-gauge steel-mesh burner screen with crimped edges. Nice, solid equipment at a rare price.

Tool Attache?
This nice, new hard-shell case is 18" x 13-3/8" x 6-3/8" with locking latches (you get 2 keys) . It has a removable sleeve inside with (14) pockets and (4) elastic straps, a movable spacer, and a foam/wood pocket that can be taken out with a little foam-liner damage. Why so cheap? It will have (4) small holes drilled through the bottom (glue and black marker will fix them) and the vinyl covering on the outside of the case may be slightly buckled on some. Black, with aluminum trim. Isn't suplus wonderful?
