The under-powered can opener we call it. This electric can opener takes (2) "AA" batteries but is as weak as the old "My dog ate my homework" excuse, so we suggest using it for parts instead of trying to open cans of soup with it. Or better yet, find a way to add another "AA" Battery. It has great parts either way. A six-way set of meshing gears and arms, a 3VDC 90mA/220mA motor that spins approx 5K (torqued out), and two-piece plastic case. Great for DIYers, hobbyists, small-motor heads or thin cans of soup. Not sold as a working kitchen can opener.

This tiny servo motor can swing approx 90 degrees in either direction via any of the (3) included servo horns with screws on the 3/16" toothed shaft: a 13/16" long single horn, a 1-5/8" long double horn or the 1-5/8" long double horn with (2) smaller cross horns. Draws between 220 and 650mA at 5VDC, and is rated for 25 oz/in of torque. Measures 7/8" x 1/2" x 1-1/16" deep with a pair of mounting wings with 1/16" bores. Wiring is 5V to red, ground to brown and timing pulses to orange. Use any 1-2ms pulses at 50Hz.

This small 3-6VDC motor draws 25mA, spins at 1100 rpm no load and stalls at 250mA. It's 2-3/8" long x 5/8" dia with a 3/16" dia x 1/4" 10-tooth sprocket. You can easily remove the sprocket if you just want to use the 5/16" dia x 1/16" shaft it's mounted on. The whole thing is mounted on a 7/8" dia plastic base with a 3/32" ID hole on a mounting wing. Can you say Science Fair?

Remember those old school vibration football games, or those fantastic days-of-yore vibrating beds in roadside motels? This is like that, just sized to today's pocket-held devices. It's a very small vibration motor (10mm dia x 2.5mm) that produces a pleasant buzz. Motor has 1-1/4" power leads, draws approx 60mA at 3VDC. Has 0.75g vibration amplitude. Self-adhesive pad on one face. No shaft.

Maybe. This 3-12VDC reversible gear motor might could (as they say in the Carolinas) have come out of a camera assembly, or not. Either way it's great for artists and hobbyists. Measures 4-1/2" x 2-3/4" x 2" in a plastic housing. Spins approx 80 rpm at 12VDC with a 1/4" dia x 9/16" flattened shaft. Has (3) external rotating encoder discs and a smaller, stubby 1/4" x 1/4" secondary shaft. Quite torque-y and would make an excellent robot motor. Has (2) 4" leads.
