Itty bitty Edison style 1/4 Watt lamp with a 3/16"/5mm screw base. (type E5 or E5.5) 1/2" long overall it needs 160ma @ 2.5 V. It has a clear glass envelope that collimates the light at the end for greater intensity when viewed end on. Typically priced around a buck a each. Great for science fair projects. model railroading or anywhere tiny light is required.

Get the LED out with these (2) different 4” x 2” x 1-1/4” clearance lights, each with (4) LEDs under tinted plastic covers. Both are 12V with wire leads in back. Light and bright, they’re suitable for trailers, caravans, DIY projects and such. You pick: red or amber.

This 7” x 4” x 1-1/2” 12VDC interior incandescent light probably came from an RV, but as we like to say around here, use it as you see fit. Black outer housing contains (2) 2” x 2-1/2” white reflector swivel heads, has (5) mounting holes and connects via (3) spade terminals. Connect (2) of them and both lights will light up and turn off when tilted. Run a jumper from the positive terminal to the AUX positive terminal to get it lit in all positions. That’s fun.

Attention, device users (in other words, everyone). This 12VDC 5A adapter features a cigarette plug socket attached to a pair of 14” leads with insulated 3” battery clamps on the ends. This allows you to connect to a battery and run devices that have a cigarette plug. The package says the leads are 10 feet long, and implies an auto battery-charging application, but we know this adapter has other uses, and so do you. Not fused, and 5A max. The surplusiness factor is high, but we’re confident that you’ll find a fresh, innovative use for this. Or its parts.

Let’s say you’ve picked out the perfect shag carpeting, air freshener and Blue Oyster Cult album, but pedestrians are still creeped out when you invite them into your van. This chrome steel dome light, measuring 9” dia and 2” thick, might be just the ticket. Light itself has a 7” clear plastic cover and fits in a 7-1/4” dia hole. A (3)-pin automotive connector on 4” leads juices the (2) bulbs inside. Now that we can see everything, pass us a KitKat and some of that patchouli.

Three words: Starsky and Hutch. You’re either thinking of that sweet red car with the white swoosh or the flashing light they stuck on the roof for hot pursuits. We don’t sell cars, but we have a 12VDC flashing amber LED with a magnetic base for the roof of a tow truck. Okay, it’s not a police light, but it’s still cool. Measures approx 4" x 4" with a 12-foot coiled cord that you plug into your vehicle’s cigarette plug. We’re not saying you should pursue anyone hotly, but if you need a safety light that you can put up and take down without scratching your paint, here it is.

It was a dark and stormy night. Luckily, we had one of these 12VDC halogen lights with a roof-style mount and rugged plastic housing. It’s rectangular and measures about 6” x 3” in front with a clear glass light cover. Measures 3” deep with 60 Watts of light, drawing less than (5) Amps. Swivel mount tilts up and down, not side-to-side (a light that can’t say no, keeping you positive on dark nights of the soul). Footprint is about 1-1/4" x 2", with (2) mounting holes.

This red plastic tail light measures 3" wide x 2-1/4" tall x 1-1/2" deep (rectangular is the new round) with a 24" power lead. The mounting bolt is meant to be grounded. Draws 50mA at 12VDC. Ideal for trailers, go karts, scooters and DIY robot eyes.
