PUPPETS

The Unemployed Philosophers Guild presents a series of fun and educational (but mostly fun) finger puppet/fridge magnets. Each puppet in the “magnetic personalities” series has a little card with a quote and background on the historical figure in question. Learn about Albert Einstein, Rosie the Riveter, the grim reaper and Cthulhu (H.P. Lovecraft’s fictional creation). Okay, some are more mythological than historical, but you get the idea.

At least you’ll be in control and your mind won’t be playing tricks on you. That’s at least 20 years away—or fewer if you’ve eaten poorly and neglected your sleep. For now, trick your eyes and still-reliable gray matter with this (50)-pack of Optical Illusions. With some, you’ll see things move or disappear. With others, you’ll wonder how the thing you’re looking at is even possible. Cards measure approx 3” x 5”. Ages 8+. 3 yrs.

And pop-nose, and pop-ears. Everything pops when you squeeze this guy’s head. It’s true of most of us, actually. This one, however, is a classic, sometimes seen as the Martian Popper but in this incarnation he’s Panic Pete. Don’t let your children grow up without having one to take their frustrations out on.

They could be finger puppets, but they could be hands in search of a mini manikin. Wherever they came from, they're 2-5/8" long in both light and darker toned flexible rubber, and remarkably life-like in a ready-to-shake pose. You'll get (5) total: (2) right; (2) left: and one of one or the other, we'll randomly select the skin tones. Some of us think they'd be an interior decorating breakthrough if you lined up (15) or (20) of them on the mantel.

We don’t have much to say about these, and we don’t care how you use them. We just know lots of Surpies will want them, because when you do this stuff for a while, you learn a few things. We’re talking about yellow, 2-1/4" tall x 3-1/4" long rubber vinyl finger puppets of chicken feet and we’ll send you (2) so your fingers can run around like…well, you know. They’re nicely detailed and have black talons and make great candle holders, too. ’Nuff said, right?

Nothing says compact fun like rubber finger puppets. We recommend these for adding a touch of whimsy to parental or grandparental reading of bedtime stories. You pick a quartet of rubber cats or squirrels, in four different colors/breeds, all approx 2” tall and all cute as the dickens.

This very nicely detailed, toothy, textured, rubber T-Rex dinosaur hand puppet comes in (4) colors and we’ll pick one for you: dark green, light green, brown or red. They all look awesome, trust us. Measure approx 5” tall x 3” across, just the beast’s head, and you can make it talk or roar by controlling the bottom jaw with your thumb. Kids love these things. Some of your less-mature adults do, too.
