Same here. Try the Ferrofluid Magnetic Display, a little sealed bottle with virtually fluid nano-particles of ferrous metal suspended in liquid. You’ll get (4) powerful 1/2” dia x 3/16” neodymium disc magnets, (2) of them attached to chess-pawnish holders. Move the magnets in assorted combinations around the bottle for fascinating effects. Sort of the marriage of science with desk toys, but students can’t spill these particles all over the place.

Don’t put this shaker jar in the wrong place--it’s just a clever way to store and use iron filings for a physics class. You’ll get a clear glass spice jar-looking jar with a screw cap that lets you dial small/medium/large openings. Inside is 12 oz of iron fillings, 40 to 80 microns, the equivalent of grains of sand.

Ceramic magnets, 15/16" dia x 3/16" thick. One side has a 5/16" sq that goes through to a steel plate is octagonal, 9/16" across with a 3/16" dia hole in the center. The plate allows flexible mounting of the 3/4 lb lift magnet. The other interesting feature is that the ceramic appears to have many poles around the rim, (4 ea N and S). This may be a focussing effect of the insert, though.

Because sometimes we (and presumably your pet fish) can get tired of all those boring earth tones. Our each is a pack of (20) small translucent acrylic pebbles suitable for, well, whatever pebbles are suited for, including aquariums, floral displays and craft projects. Approx 3/4” long in light blue or dark blue.

But you’re free to use this piece of cork rubber composite, straight from the rubber/cork trees and in a darker cork look, for anything you like, including a very small, round bulletin board, dart board. Measures 10-7/8" dia x 3/16" thick. Nice mouse pad, too, or dart board for the really accurate player who doesn’t keep score. (For some, it’s about the journey, not the numbers.)

The Hanson Brothers wouldn’t have used this foil—too pretty for hockey—and it’s not for sandwiches or leftovers, either. This (1)-sided anodized aluminum foil is 0.004” thick (36Ga, 0.1MM), measures 24” x 12” and is great for DIY projects, hobbies, crafting, embossing, jewelry-making, die-cutting, inlaying, wrapping and decorating. Inks are pigments, not dyes, and the alloy is 1235-O (soft)/ASTM-B-479. Aluminum is REACH, ROHS, Prop 65 and conflict-minerals compliant, and PTFE and PFOA free. Comes on a roll, and it’s made in the USA. You pick the color: royal blue, green, pink (fuchsia), light purple or gold.

Display all sides of any number of not-too-heavy items on this solar-powered motorized stand (think small model plane, jewelry display, bud vase holding a prize rose). The 4" square base has subtle solar panels on all four sides and supports a 3-1/2" dia clear plastic disc that rotates approx 4 rpm in sunlight and 1 rpm on our desk. Stands 1-3/4" tall with the disc.

Physics project alert! This robust puppy of a magnet has dual 6V coils and stands 4" high x 3-1/4" wide, not counting the side terminals. Each coil draws 2.4A at 6VDC, and is conservatively rated for 40 Newtons (approx 9 lbs) at that voltage. Can be wired in either parallel or series, and comes with a mounting hook. Works great with a 6-volt lantern battery.

These here are made for repairing tents after critters tried to get inside or somebody bent over too fast with a machete in his belt. Iron these off-white canvas strips, shiny side down, over the hole and yer tent's like new, almost. Pants too, if ya got off-white canvas britches. Make good iron-on name tags, no matter how short or long your name is. Small are 2" x 2". Sold in large quantities, in case you have particularly aggressive critters, or an extra-long machete.

Marked as a photo frame, this is a piece of 1/16” acrylic folded to measure 5-1/8" x 3-1/2" with the bottom and both sides open to sandwich a photo. Won’t stand alone or hang, unless you affix a stick-on hook to the back, or thread a string through the top. Nice though, and has plenty of other uses that you’ll think of. Like…holding a little menu for your next dinner party? Add our self adhesive magnets (43510) and create a fridge magnet collage, protect those precious pokemon cards or recipes. ...Ok, now it's your turn.
