Leather scraps, very assorted. Each 2-lb sack will net you some small pieces and a few larger pieces, from 4" x 12" down to 6" x 2", more or less and give or take, in odd shapes. (If you're lucky maybe even one long piece) Think coin purses and bracelets, not belts. Maybe a jacket for a hipster rabbit. Colors are all over the place, from light and dark browns to reds, whites, maroons and more. You get approx (2) pounds total. Have fun and send us pictures of what you made. This multi-use, all-purpose, tear-resistant, all-weather generally handy blue tarp is for covering up stuff. Measures 7 x 5 feet in .0085 thick plastic (polyethylene) with rust-proof aluminum grommets and a 1/16” poly rope inside the hem to give it extra stability. Also makes a nice lean-to or an ugly raincoat.

See psychedelic patterns the safe way! Press your hand on this 6" x 6" sheet of liquid crystal and leave a print of swirling colors that, like the mood ring of yore, you can use as a sign of your mood. The pattern will blend and fade in seconds as the crystals react to temperature. Tiny liquid crystals inside the film-like material react to the heat of your hand, 25-30°C (77-86°F) by changing colors. As science, it demonstrates the way liquid crystal displays work. And you can cut each crystal sheet into pieces to incorporate into a science project. Or just leave it out for guests to play with when the party turns boring.

Or under it, or somewhere. These 1/4" thick cork rubber sheets are approx 22” x 16”, and they’re surplus from a gasket manufacturer. They make great vibration dampers, and can be cut to fit for furniture and floor protection. Also good to deaden sound in the storage of tools, and pots and pans. Various black streaks through the brown cork may militate against bulletin-board use, but then again maybe not since the bulletins will cover that anyway. And, yes, they're perfect if your hobby just happens to be gasket-making.

Seriously, who at some point in life doesn’t need a nice hunk of 1/8" plexiglass for something? We have (2) nice solid pieces here and it’s your lucky day because you get to pick. The rounded-rectangle measures 4-3/4" x 7", has 1/4” x 1/4” notches in each corner and curves 1/2" along the shorter dimension, like a knee pad. The egg-shaped piece measures 12" x 6-1/4" x 3/16”, has a 5/16” hole at the narrow end and halfway up each side, the large end is flat and has notching that extends about 1-1/4” up and is perfect for glass-bottom boats or ritzy side tables in your jet (or screened-in porch). Both were meant as lenses; we’re not sure what for but we’re guessing car/truck lights.

Okay, they’re just strips of metal, but CJ says one of each and a grapefruit will get you at least a “C” at the science fair. The copper electrode is 100mm long x 18mm wide  x .8mm thick (3.94" x .7" x .041”). The zinc electrode is 4” long x 3/4” wide x .027” thick and stamped “ZN”. And both of them are awfully useful for crafters and jewelry makers, too.

But you’re free to use this piece of cork rubber composite, straight from the rubber/cork trees and in a darker cork look, for anything you like, including a very small, round bulletin board, dart board. Measures 10-7/8" dia x 3/16" thick. Nice mouse pad, too, or dart board for the really accurate player who doesn’t keep score. (For some, it’s about the journey, not the numbers.)

The Hanson Brothers wouldn’t have used this foil—too pretty for hockey—and it’s not for sandwiches or leftovers, either. This (1)-sided anodized aluminum foil is 0.004” thick (36Ga, 0.1MM), measures 24” x 12” and is great for DIY projects, hobbies, crafting, embossing, jewelry-making, die-cutting, inlaying, wrapping and decorating. Inks are pigments, not dyes, and the alloy is 1235-O (soft)/ASTM-B-479. Aluminum is REACH, ROHS, Prop 65 and conflict-minerals compliant, and PTFE and PFOA free. Comes on a roll, and it’s made in the USA. You pick the color: royal blue, green, pink (fuchsia), light purple or gold.

These here are made for repairing tents after critters tried to get inside or somebody bent over too fast with a machete in his belt. Iron these off-white canvas strips, shiny side down, over the hole and yer tent's like new, almost. Pants too, if ya got off-white canvas britches. Make good iron-on name tags, no matter how short or long your name is. Small are 2" x 2". Sold in large quantities, in case you have particularly aggressive critters, or an extra-long machete.

OK, it’s not really wire and not really snakeskin, but that’s what the manufacturer calls it. It’s mighty handy for floral and craft projects, and is made of metallic red aluminum with an embossed pattern that could be considered snakeskin-like, depending on the snake. Measures 1” wide x .026, which is thin enough to be malleable but thick enough to add structure to your creations. Makes a good handle for otherwise handle-less baskets. You’ll get (15) feet.

These are all 21” square cotton/poly blend factory-second bandanas. A few are unhemmed on one side, but generally we can’t see why many of them were seconded. Most are traditional paisley designs in assorted colors, but others are novelty versions in USA and Texas flag looks, camo, smiley faces, dog paw prints, solid colors and others. It’ll be a nice change not to know exactly what you’re getting, won’t it? Buy ’em at the bulk price and resell them. Start your side hustle now!

Yes, unless you break this cork-rubber ring, and it's a pretty tough puppy. It's also the perfect example of surplus—a punch-out from a gasket manufacturer. You’ll get the leftover ring, which measures 10-7/8” OD x 8-5/8” ID x 3/16” thick, and we'd list the myriad cool things you could do with it but we’d hate to deprive you of the chance to exercise your imagination and creativity, because really, how much exercise are you getting these days?
