What we have here is a 650nm, 5VDC, 5mW red laser dot diode module measuring 1/2” long x 1/4” dia, with a copper head and 3” leads. Has a working life of more than 1000 hours, an operating current <40mA, and an operating temperature of -36 to 65C. The spot size is 10-15mm at 15 meters. Folks with tech smarts can add lasers to their models, make fake security laser grids, design and build cat toys, and do many optic experiments.
