Clap meters are nothing like this clamp meter from Elenco®. It’s their ST-1012 Digital AC Clamp Meter with 3-1/2 digit display, so don’t even think about using it for a game show. Meter measures AC current to 1,000A, AC voltage to 750VAC, DC voltage to 1,000VDC, Temperature to 1,400°F/750°C, and Resistance to 2MO. Has audible continuity, data hold and comes with probes, K-type temperature probe, wrist strap instructions and a nice zippered case.

Every now and then in life you need a Dial Drop Indicator—you know, to indicate your dial drops. We jest, because if you need (or want) a Dial Drop Indicator, you already know it’s for measuring tools, equipment, shop supplies and machinery. This one, from MBC® Industrial Supply, has a 0-.5" range, a 0-001” reading, and a 0-100 graduation. Dial is just over 2” dia and easy to read. This is a nice piece.

Amateur multimeters are for amateurs! But this Elenco® M-1250 Professional Multimeter & Transistor Tester is for pros like you! It’s analog, with sapphire-jeweled meter movement, and offers AC/DC Volts readings. Very versatile, old-school and accurate. Measures 20,000 Ohms/Volts in (23) ranges with 3-1/2” meter-mirrored, scale-audible, continuity checks. Resistance is x1, x10, x100, x1K, x10K. Unit itself measures approx 6” x 3-3/4” x 1-1/4” and comes in a zippered pouch with a handle loop.

We don't care if she did go to MIT—she could only have dreamed of today's mulitmeters, like this one, with a 3-1/2 digit, 7-segment 0.5” LCD display with a max reading of 1999. Hey look, here’s another really nice digital multimeter we were lucky enough to get our analog hands on. This one’s approx 3" x 5" x 1" in black with all the goodies, including a 3-1/2 digit LCD display with a max reading of 1999, and overload protection. Measures DCV 0.1mV-300V +/-5, ACV 0.1V-300V +/-10, DC current 0.01uA-10A +/-5, OHM 0.1-2M +/-5 and Continuity. Unit has 3-1/2 digit LCD with 1999 max reading, auto polarity indication, overload protection and low battery indicator, includes 9V battery, red/black test leads and user’s manual. If you’re not in the trades, you probably don’t know that the pros call this non-contact AC voltage detector a wiggy. Ours is from Tolsen Tools, so you know it’s great. At 6" long, in easy-to-keep-track-of yellow, it measures AC current from 12 to 1000 Volts at 50/60hz. Has a sound and light alarm for when voltage is detected, and auto power-off. Just point it at your wire and it’ll pick one of (3) sensitivities.

Is it multi-meter or is it multim-iter. Either way this is the cats meow of digital Auto-Ranging voltmeters. Has 4.5 digits, measures AC / DC voltage, current, resistance, frequency, capacitance, continuity. it tests diodes, measures temperature, induction through electric field and more. Did we say temperature measuring? Yes, with the included probe. It's about 7" tall with large digital readout. But wait there is more! 20,000 count backlit display ad true RMS. Manual included. The only digital voltmeter you will ever need. Has leads and temp probe included.

And if so, this pressure gauge will read zero. From Paramount Supply, it has a 2-1/4" face and measures the aforementioned 0 to 60psi/0-4000kPa. Black metal housing has a white face and blue/red lettering. Also has a 1/4” male NPT fitting from the back.

This new take-out analog/ballistic meter, a genuine science device, was intended to measure electrodermal activity in humans, if you're into that kind of thing. (We make no judgments here at the home office, lest we be judged.) Has a clear acrylic elliptical face, 6-1/8" x 4" with a 2-1/4" x 2" x 1-1/4" housing for the mechanism on the rear bottom, along with a pair of screw terminals. No scale, but full deflection is at 125uA.

Amps and volts, go together like pretzels and mustard, at least in Philadelphia. Where were we? Yes, you pick from our 0-10VDC in 0.2 volt increments voltmeter or the zero-adjust ammeter (Galvanometer) that reads bipolarity up to 500mA in 20mA increments. Both are in black plastic housings, 4" x 5-1/2" x 3-3/4" with a slanted face and red & black banana jack terminals.

And save a bundle. The "Kill-A-Watt" plugs into a wall outlet and accepts the power line for any devices or appliances that draw up to 1875 watts. Identifies energy eaters, tracks efficiency and costs over time, and checks on your electricity provider by monitoring voltage, current (amps), watts, kilowatt hours, frequency (Hz), volt amps, power factor, and elapsed time. Measures 5-1/8" x 2-3/8" x 1-7/16" with a 1-3/4" x 11/16" LCD screen. You may never use a waffle iron again.
