MOTORS, BLOWERS & PUMPS

It's a beauty folks. These are pretty clean take-outs from what we have been told is a breast pump assemply. They operate from 3VDC up to 12VDC, but that won't matter because we are going to include the wall adapter. (9VDC@2Amps) The steel housing measures 3.5" x 4" x 5" and inside is a gear motor, 2.5" piston style assembly and a control board. The controller has a speed control and a push button pause. The diaphram on the top of the assembly measures 2-3/4" and raises up and down about 1". It's a very soothng sound. Built in switzerland so you know is a sound unit. 

Don’t get too excited--we don’t have Tesla parts. But we do have this honey of a reversible 12VDC gear motor from a kid’s ride-able toy car. Spins approx 75 rpm, draws 800mA no load and stalls at 11.5A via a 1/4” dia gear that runs through a multi-gear box to a 6-spoked, 2-1/2” dia hub. Will run with as little as 3VDC with plenty of torque. Unit measures 7-3/4" x 3-3/4" x 4-3/4" in a teardrop shape, with a pair of 3” leads and a Molex connector.

It's a head-spinning 10-Fer! Ten fans for ten bucks! These cute little 2" square 50mm muffin fans by Runda operate from 6-18VDC, and they’re rated at 18 Volts. They’re pretty gusty at 12VDC and run strong off a single 9-Volt battery. Each fan is 10.5mm and has (4) mounting holes in the corners. These are take-outs from unused equipment, and super clean. Great for group projects. Think: Scouts, classrooms.

These brand-spanking new 12VDC motors are made to move automobile seats but are willing to change. They spin at approx 190 rpm, draw 1.5A no load, and stall at approx 25A. Threaded shaft is at a right angle and is 4-1/8" x 7/16". Shaft thread is non-standard, so treat it as a smooth shaft and mount pulley or gear with a setscrew. Measures 5-5/8" x 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" overall, not counting the shaft, and has power terminals opposite the gearbox with (2) 1/4" mounting holes opposite the shaft. Great little 12VDC oil-less diaphragm style air pump. For you techies out there it draws 40-300mA, 2.0 Litres/min, 350mm Hg max pressure. These are takeouts and in great condition but the leads on yours may vary in length or even be clipped off (Just solder to the connection points like the leads were.) Outlet port is 5/32". Overall size 2-3/4" x 1-1/16".

1-1/2-9 VDC Gear Motor with a right angle gearbox and a 5/16" shaft. Shaft comes out of gear box back towards the motor. Overall size is 3" X 3-1/2" X 2-1/2" and weighs in at just over 1/2lb. Draws 250mA no load and 750mA full load. This bugger is one of the best motors we have had. Nominal voltage is 9 VDC (75 RPM) but will run off of just (1) AA battery with good torque and up to 12VDC for short periods.

This little 1.5-3VDC motor draws just 15mA no load, which means it's just the ticket for solar-cell applications. At 3VDC it spins approx 600 rpm and stalls at 125mA. Measures 1-1/8" long x 15/16" dia with a 5/16" long x 1/16" dia shaft and 3-1/2" leads.

Nifty device that takes maxi air and squeezes it down into a mini condition. The device is roughly 6-1/2"" long x 6" tall x 4" wide. It has a 10 ft. cord that plugs into an auto lighter socket: i.e. it runs on 12VDC @ 10 amps. Air output is via a 12" hose with a variety of valve adapters for tires, soccer balls, rubber rafts and the like. Complete with a 0-250 psi gauge. Which should be plenty of pressure to explode a weak bike tire or flimsy beach ball, so please be careful!

Attention robotics boffins: Here's a nice, powerful 12-24VDC Mabuchi brush motor with a gearbox and pulley attached. At its nominal 24DC, it spins 45rpm, draws 280mA no load, and stalls a 750mA. 7.5 in-lbs of torque and is rated for continuous duty. Has a 3/4" long x 5/16" flattened shaft with a 4-5/8" dia x 5/16" wide (3/16" ID) single-sheave pulley attached, with a matching O-ring. The gearbox measures 2-3/4" x 3" x 9/16". The motor measures 1-1/16"dia x 1-5/8" long and comes with 7" leads and a 2-pin Molex connector.

This torquey take-out 6-24VDC (12VDC nominal) motor draws approx 250mA no load, stalls at 7.2A and spins approx 5700 rpm. Measures 2" x 1-13/32" with a 3/4" x 1/8" flattened shaft and may have a setscrew-mounted coupler that resembles a router bit. Has prewired leads. Mabuchi part no. RS-545SH.

Nifty little display motor has (3) gears operating a 7-5/8” long pivoting plastic arm that swings to and fro a tad faster than twice a second. Mounted in a 4-3/4” x 3-5/8” x 1-7/8” white plastic box. All you add is a (1) D-cell battery, and something to wave. A good battery and it will go for hours and hours.

The under-powered can opener we call it. This electric can opener takes (2) "AA" batteries but is as weak as the old "My dog ate my homework" excuse, so we suggest using it for parts instead of trying to open cans of soup with it. Or better yet, find a way to add another "AA" Battery. It has great parts either way. A six-way set of meshing gears and arms, a 3VDC 90mA/220mA motor that spins approx 5K (torqued out), and two-piece plastic case. Great for DIYers, hobbyists, small-motor heads or thin cans of soup. Not sold as a working kitchen can opener. 

Teacher Alert! At this price makes a great school project to show the inner gear workings of a gadget!

Got lots of aquariums? This oil-free Hailea 115V air pump is strong enough to keep air flowing into your large or multiple aquariums, and its linear piston design ensures long life. It’s low-noise at <60dB (The manufacturer says low-noise, but trust us, you don't want this running in the bedroom.) and low-vibration, because fishes (and you) don’t go for those things. This 20 GPM (gallons per minute) submersible fluid pump will shoot fluid approx (15) feet upward. Fits standard garden hose, Comes with (4) rubber feet and It even includes a brass barbed hose connector for 8mm hoses etc. Unit measures 7" x 5-1/4" x 4" with a 3” handle and a 15-foot power cord. It has a lifting handle on the top and a removable filter space for cleaning. It does not include a filter. Pump must be submerged 2x the pump height (aprox 13”). Operates on 120 volts at 105 watts.

Here are the ins and outs of submersible pumps for your DIY fountain.These small electric pumps run on 24 VAC (For low energy consumption.) from the included wall outlet adapter, are rated for continuous duty, have (3) suction-cup feet, an adjustable flow control and both a straight and 90° 5/16" tubing adapter. This little pump is roughly 2-5/8" x 1.5" x 2-1/4", has a 6-ft power cord with an in-line switch, and pumps 70 gal/hr @ 1 ft lift. Plug it in and go with the flow. Indoor use only.

From Koge Micro Pump Co. (company motto: Let’s PUMP the World!), this nice little diaphragm air pump draws approx 400mA at 12VDC and will put out 3 liters a minute with a minimum pressure of 400mm/Hg. Measures 2-3/4” long x 1-1/4” square with 1/4” long x 5/32” dia inlet, and outlet barbs. Part #KPM32E.

This vacuum pump from Koge Electronics draws 100-250mA at 4.8V and is rated for >2.6L/minimum output and -460mbar of pressure. Measures 2-9/16" x 1-3/16" x 1-5/16" with a 3/16" OD x 3/8" inlet barb and a 3/16" OD x 1/2" tall outlet barb, plus (4) 1/8” ID mounting wings. Power terminals are exposed and you may get short leads. Koge model #KPV276.

And even more fan blades.  Black-plastic 4-bladed impeller, each measuring approx 4" across with a 3/16" bore. Designed for clockwise rotation. No motor. Just blades. (But nice little blades.)
