PERSONAL RESPONSE SYSTEM REMOTE
Remote Without A Cause
Remake, recycle and reuse this repurposable Personal Response System remote. Made for answering test questions in college classrooms, this PRS TX-02 remote is now discontinued but full of lovely parts and waiting for a new electronic home. Inside you'll find a 940nm IR LED, a 12-digit touchpad, 2-C9015 PNP transistors, a red/orange/green LED, a 3.5795454 MHx crystal and a couple of ICs. As is, no guarantees. And let's keep it legal, OK?SHARE
Don’t even try resisting, because you can’t. But this 10K-15K Ohm Photoresistor (aka Photocell, aka the thing that turns stuff on and off based on light levels) does nothing but resist. Sort of. It’s a light-dependent resistor that operates at 2K Ohm at 100 LX (that’s 3 feet from a 100W bulb), and 10K Ohm at 10 LX (12 feet from a 100W bulb). Rated for 100VDC, 35 mW power dissipation. Measures approx 5mm dia, and we’ll send you (5) of them. Made in Hong Kong.

Little is the operative word here. These surface-mount LEDs are perfect for hobby trains, dollhouses, even flashlights, anywhere you need tiny but bright lights. Color is white with a luminous intensity of 1000-1300 mcd (millicandelas), 2.8-3.4 volts, and a color temperature of 6500K. View angle is 140 degrees.
Jarvis Says: These require soldering so if you are not familiar with the process these are not for you.

The manufacturer, Elenco Electronics, says Bredblox, but what's in a name? This is just a nice little breadboard for electronic experiments. The Elenco Model 9830 measures 6-1/2" long x 2-1/8" wide x 5/16" thick with (2) power busses up both long edges and (63) double rows of more busses. The holes for components and jumper wires are approx .050" each and multiple boards can be interlocked via tabs and ports on the long edges. Now go invent something and get rich.
