Budding lapidarians will lap up this rock polishing kit which is so complete it even contains some rocks. The polishing tumbler has a (3 lb. /1 qt.) fifteen sided rubber barrel and is driven by a 115 VAC motor. Overall dimensions are 6" x 6" x 7-1/2" high. In addition to the tumbler, the kit includes an assortment of jewelry findings, a #300 4-Step Grit Pack and a detailed manual giving you easy to follow instructions. But don't think of it only as useful for jewelry making. As a hobby, our Uncle George for many years collected and polished a wide variety of rocks which he found interesting and made beautiful in and of themselves. The #300 4-Step Grit Pack is also available separately, for when your grit has run low, and includes 4oz. coarse, 4oz fine, 2oz. prepolish and 2oz polish grits.
No, that's not a contradiction. These are real arrowheads, made like the originals, but as replicas. You get a clear-plastic case with (4) of them, (2) made from jasper and (2) from obsidian. Sizes range from 1-3/8" long to approx 2". Has a short fact sheet, but no arrows.
Much better than a box of rocks, because fossils are more fun. You get (10): a trilobite, nautiloid, goniatid, petrified wood, coral, ammonite, dinosaur bone, sea urchin, shark tooth and a brachiopod, all in a handy storage case. Also comes with a fact sheet explaining what the mysterious ones were when they were alive. Also a free little fossil-inspection magnifier.
Crystals are for pointing toward you or away from you, depending on what you believe or want, or for polishing, or just for looking at. You get a 3-pack of quartz point crystals, approx 1" to 2-1/2" long, ready for psychic healing, jewelry, or plain old-fashioned lapidarian fascination. Your hunks of point crystal might have an actual point, might not: nature's like that.
Don't panic. A meteorite is speeding toward you, but it will only hit your mailbox. These small hunks of genuine meteorites are approx 4,200 years old and have been harvested from Chaco, Argentina. (We never miss the meteorite harvest in Chaco.) Most will weigh 25-30 grams and measure approx 1-1/4" x 3/4" x 1/2", which is very dense. Carry one in your pocket and you'll never be hit by a large meteorite. (And if you are, we'll give you double your money back.)
Turn rocks into jewelry, a few pieces at a time. Our small Science Tech" Rock Tumbler (1lb capacity) plugs into the wall and rolls those rocks around until they're all shiny and beautiful. Includes coarse and fine grinding powders, fine and finer polishing powders, 4 oz of practice gemstone rocks, glue, and mounting hardware to make a keychain, adjustable rings, earrings and other items. Can be set to turn from (1) to (7) days (rocks are hard, which is why they're called rocks). Measures approx 9" x 11" x 6" high overall, including the plastic dome to reduce the sound of the operation. For 10-year-olds and up.
Gemstone points, waiting for you to cut, polish and mount, show to students, or just gaze at while you marvel at nature's wonders. Your each is (3) pretty points: (1) each of quartz, amethyst and citrine, each between 3/4" and 1-1/2" long.
Create your own crystal garden and you'll never again have to run out to the store in the middle of the night for more crystals. Put the approx (2) ounces of rocks from this kit in a bowl, add white vinegar, put it in a warm place, and wait for the vinegar to evaporate. You'll have crystals in (2) days to (2) weeks. Add food coloring if you want to change your tasteful monochromatic crystals into a phantasmagoric garden of color. You provide the bowl, vinegar, food coloring and warm place. For ages 8+ with adult supervision.
Rock hammer with one squared chipping face and one pointy picking face, ideal for prospectors, rock hounds, construction and more. A single piece of forged and polished steel with a molded rubber grip makes this a solid and reliable tool that will last. 10-1/2" long x 6-1/2" across the 20 oz. head, 1-3/4 lbs. total. Well made. Good buy. Good bye!
