Wire glue-the solution when you can't find the soldering iron, don't want to bother, are out in the woods, don't quite trust a fifth-grader with a hot gun, can't reach the connection with both hands, whatever. This stuff conducts low voltage AC and DC circuits in a permanent bond and is easy to use. Our high-tech support group suggests that a toothpick is a good way to apply it. Cures overnight. Our each is a 0.3 oz/9ml jar.
Double-sided tape from 3M, 1” wide in a beige color, the way tape ought to be. We’ve got assorted quantities on approx 3” cores and we’ll send you (2) rolls, one with approx 1/2” and the other with approx 1” of tape wound on the core, and no, we don’t know how much tape that is, but it’s a whole lot for under four bucks.
Carpet tape is actually uncoated double-sided duct tape, used to stick rugs down, or anywhere you need to stick stuff to other stuff. This roll is 1-1/2" wide x 42 feet long on a 3" core. Beige-ish color, after the backing is peeled off, but it really doesn't matter, since you won't see it (unless you make a prom dress out of it, but then you wouldn't be able to get out of the limo).
Mega-useful aluminum tape. A 2" wide x 50-yard roll of .004” thick aluminum on a 3” core. Has a paper backing and is conductive on the non-adhesive side. Reflects heat and light, useful for seaming riveted aluminum sheets, particularly good for cold weather and metal repairs. Our fisherman friends love to wrap wooden lures with it and work it with a piece of soft wood for metal-finish effects.
Nuclear physicists speak of five fundamental forces: weak, strong,
electromagnetic, gravity, and duct tape. Sizes and colors of duct tape
come and go in the world of surplus –– right now, we have 2" wide by 60
yd. long rolls on 3” cores, all select seconds or better. We offer you a
standard grey color.
We don't normally like electrical surprises, but in this case it's a just a color. Our vinyl electrical tape is 3/4" wide on a 66-foot roll and we'll send you (3) rolls from our lovely selection of purple, red, green, brown, gray and boring black. It will give you something to look forward to. UL listed.
Except on University of Iowa fans and supporters of the professional teams of Pittsburgh, black and yellow stripes mean "For Pete's Sake, Be Careful!" It's why bumblebees sport the same colors--to keep you away. Get yourself a 30-yard roll of this striped adhesive safety tape at 1-3/4" wide, and tape off anything you want to warn folks about.
Electrical harness-wrap tape is not unlike a cross between electricians’ tape and gaffers’ tape. You get a 100-foot roll 3/4” wide x .007” thick orangeish-brown tape on a 1-1/2” core. Flame retardant, too!
You can be that masked man for next to nothing. Just order our masking tape specials in 3/4" or 1" widths, both on 60-yard (or 180-foot, whichever comes first) rolls, both on 3" cores. If this tape looks familiar, it's because it's been a long-time A.S.& S. store favorite, and now you out-of-towners can buy it through the catalog and website!
