This isn't a book, but it's definitely book-ish. Looks like a leather-bound volume from the Bodleian but it's just a little wooden box, approx 8-1/2" x 5" x 2" (7" x 3-7/8" x 1-5/8" inside) that's perfect for stashing the jewels, cash, or whatever you need to stash in plain sight on the shelves.
These watertight aluminum screw-top canisters are gasketed, lined in nylon and come with a 1" slip ring to attach to whatever. Measure just over 2-1/2" tall x 1-1/8" dia, so they're suitable for a lot of pills or any number other things you need to keep dry or safe. We'll pick one in black, red, gold, blue or green.
You can store a plethora and a half of things in this staggeringly cute set of a dozen screw-top clear plastic canisters, 1-1/4" dia x 3/4" deep, that fit perfectly inside this 6-3/8" x 4-3/8" x 1" deep clear plastic lidded box. How they got those circles in a rectangle is a Euclidean mystery.
The lids on these small steel tins have a slight inset to match a slight indentation on the bottoms, so you can stack them up. Nice for powders and other ground-up stuff, but just as happy with wrapped candy inside, as party favors. Also good for sparkles and craft materials or the small screws, nuts and bolts that accumulate. White enamel and they measure 2-5/8” tall x 1-7/8” square with matching press-on lids.
Nicest tins we've seen since Rin Tin Tin. These are in gray steel, rectangular, and measure 5-1/4" tall x 3-7/8" x 3-1/8" with lids that snap on with a satisfying click. They'll work well as mini-canisters in small kitchens, as gift holders or craft sorters, for whatever you need to tin.
Add a little pizazz to your nitro pills! This 1-3/4" x 1/2" dia container for meds is anodized aluminum in mostly silver but also could be in blue, turquoise, purple, red, gold (our choice). It's gasketed so it's watertight. We recommend cleaning the inside with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol before using, since some have a bit of rust-colored residue in them. Flashy!
This little steel pot is painted to look like a bronze artifact from, say, Caesar Augustus's kitchen. Measures 5-3/8" dia at the top x 4-1/2" tall on a 3-1/8" dia base. Nice plant pot, or a container for spare change, marbles or writing instruments.
Cardboard boxes are tacky. Stylish folks keep stuff, and give stuff, in cute little tins. You pick the cornflower blue, steel flip-top tins at 2-3/8" x 1-7/8" x 5/8" thick; the black version at 2-3/8" x 1-7/8" x 9/16" thick; or the gold one at 3-3/8" x 2-3/8" x 3/4". All made in the US of A.
It's a critter container cornucopia. All are approx 2" dia x 3/4" deep, green plastic, with snap-shut lids, and each has an realistically colored plastic animal on top. You pick the ones with a reclining, dining panda; a white tiger couchant; or a standard tiger couchant (which means it's lying on its stomach, front legs forward, with its head up). You learn something every day, don't you?
